Our Advocacy Strategy aims at exposing and eroding the most harmful aspects of a migration policy that invests on deterrence rather than protection. Lesvos Solidarity promotes positive change, respect for rights and the dignity of people forcibly displaced, socially marginalised and excluded and the overall protection of our joint humanity and the environment in which we live in.
What we do
Part and parcel of our effort towards inclusion and respect involves combatting hate crime and hate speech. Lesvos Solidarity is an active member of the Racist Violence Reporting Network which consists of more than 55 civil society organizations coordinated by UNHCR and the National Human Rights Commission. Consistent to this effort we have strengthened our capacity to document incidents of racist violence by introducing regular trainings of staff and conducting outreach to the community.
LESOL is a partner for Fundamental Rights Platform. The Fundamental Rights Platform (FRP) is FRA’s channel for cooperation and information exchange with civil society organisations working on fundamental rights in the EU. We're working to create a more just and equitable world for all.
